The following are frequently asked questions regarding participation in yoga classes:

What do I wear?

Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing such as track or yoga pants, T-shirts, and sweatshirts that do not restrict movement. You need to be in bare feet. Please do not wear shorts that are too loose or too short. We are air-conditioned in the summer.

Do I need to bring equipment?

We have yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, and other props. However, we do encourage you to bring your own yoga mat.

Do you have changing facilities?

There is a washroom in the facility where you can change.

What do I do with my belongings?

To keep the yoga room clear, please leave shoes and coats in the space provided in the hallway. Clothing, purses, wallets, and backpacks can be left in the back room beside the yoga studio.

Can I join a session if it has already begun?

Yes, you can. The fees will be pro-rated.

Can I take a class first without committing for a whole session?

Yes. You can do a drop-in class for $16.95 (HST included in the price). If you decide to join the class, the drop-in class cost will go towards the cost of the full session. Ask the Studio Director about doing a drop-in class before attending a class.

What do I do when I arrive?

Many participants enjoy having quiet time before class to rest and relax. Please respect those around you and limit conversation to a minimum before and during class. Try to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early to prepare for class.

What should I do if I arrive late or need to leave early?

If you enter the class during the beginning relaxation, please join the class quietly. If you have to leave the class early, please let your teacher know ahead of time and take a few minutes to lie down and relax before you go.

Can I eat before coming to class?

It is best to practice yoga on a relatively empty stomach to avoid discomfort. It is recommended to eat a light meal at least a couple of hours before class. You are welcome to bring a bottle of water to class if you wish.

What is  the benefit of registering for a full session?

Registering for a full session allows us to provide consistent class sizes and guarantees your space and progress with your yoga practice. During the course of a session, beginners receive an in-depth introduction to the practice of yoga asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques) while experienced students develop the concepts of their yoga practice.

Can I make up classes if I miss them?

You can make up classes during the current session. If you cannot make up the classes within the current session, you can carry over up to 3 classes as extra classes providing the following session is paid for in full. If you have an irregular schedule and need more flexibility you can make up the classes within 6 months of the current session. Make up classes cannot be applied to workshops, retreats, or holistic wellness services.

Do you have parking?

Please visit the contact us page to get specific information on parking.

Where are you located? What is the closest intersection?

We are located on Main Street East just east of Wentworth Street and we are beside the Zum Linzer restaurant.
