The following are frequently asked questions regarding participation in yoga workshop classes and Tai Chi QiQong:

What do I wear?

Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing such as track or yoga pants, T-shirts, and sweatshirts that do not restrict movement. You need to be in bare feet in the yoga class workshops. In the Tai Chi QiQong classes you need to wear a pair of indoor clean comfortable shoes. Please do not wear shorts that are too loose or too short. We are air-conditioned in the summer.

Do I need to bring equipment?

For Yoga Workshops bring your own yoga mat. If you don’t have a yoga mat we have mats you can borrow. However, we do encourage you to bring your own yoga mat. We have yoga blankets, bolsters, and other props.

Do you have changing facilities?

There is a washroom in the facility where you can change.

What do I do with my belongings?

To keep the yoga/Tai Chi QiQong room clear and clean, please leave shoes and coats in the space provided in the hallway. Clothing, purses, wallets, and backpacks can be left in the back room beside the yoga studio.

Can I take one Tai Chi QiQong class first without committing for a whole session?

Yes. You can do a drop-in class for $40.

What do I do when I arrive?

Many participants enjoy having quiet time before a Yoga Workshop class to rest and relax. Please respect those around you and limit conversation to a minimum before and during class. Try to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early to prepare for any class.

What should I do if I arrive late or need to leave early?

If you enter the class during the beginning relaxation, please join the class quietly. If you have to enter the class late or leave the class early, please let your teacher know ahead of time.

Can I eat before coming to class?

If attending a Yoga Workshop class it is best to practice yoga on a relatively empty stomach to avoid discomfort. It is recommended to eat a light meal at least a couple of hours before class. You are welcome to bring a bottle of water to class if you wish.

What is the benefit of registering for a full Tai Chi QiQong session?

Registering for a full session allows us to provide consistent class sizes and guarantees your space and progress with your Tai Chi QiQong practice.
